WL, SHU, FSU Women's Basketball Squads Dance Into D-II March Madness

(PRINCETON, W.Va.)---Three WVIAC women's basketball squads have been selected for NCAA Division II post-season play. West Liberty, Seton Hill, and Fairmont State have each had their dance cards punched and will participate in Atlantic Region play this week.
Third-seeded West Liberty (22-9) is making their tenth trip to the NCAA post-season. The Hilltoppers will face Millersville (23-5) on Friday in a sub-regional hosted by California (PA).
Fifth-seeded Seton Hill (22-7) is in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history and the Griffins are making their first trip to a national event since the 1991 NAIA Tournament. SHU squares off with Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Fayetteville State (20-9) on Friday in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Eighth-seeded Fairmont State (22-9) captured the WVIAC Tournament championship with an exciting 85-78 overtime victory over West Liberty to earn a road date with the nation's top-ranked team Gannon (33-0). The Falcons are making their third appearance in the NCAA Division II field, each occuring since 2005.
