Five WVIAC Teams & One Individual Selected For NCAA D-II Men's Golf Regional

(INDIANAPOLIS)---Eighty teams and 32 individuals have been selected to participate in the regional competition of the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships.
Regional competitions will be conducted May 3-5. The sites and teams selected to participate are listed below. Conference automatic qualifiers are indicated in brackets next to the institution’s name. The four regional tournaments encompass the current eight regions.
The top five teams and the top two individuals not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 18-21 at Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Indiana. The finals will be hosted by the University of Indianapolis.
There will be four regional sites in which two regions will meet and conduct regional tournaments. The 20 schools and 8 individuals competing in the Atlantic/East Regional May 3-5 at the Resort at Glade Springs follow. The event is co-hosted by Concord University and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Five WVIAC squads and one individual are part of the field. No. 2 seed Concord is joined by No. 3 Ohio Valley, No. 6 Charleston, No. 8 Bluefield State, and No. 10 West Liberty. Bluefield State's appearance is the program's first as a team. West Virginia Wesleyan's Mike Gervais also qualified as an individual.
