Game #1: Glenville State 5, West Liberty 3
Brittney Handley's three hits, two stolen bases, and two runs driven in led Glenville State past West Liberty 5-3.  LeAnne Harris also contributed a pair of hits and two RBI for the Pioneer attack.

Laura Childers earned the win for Glenville State, allowing three runs (none earned) in 5 2/3 innings.  She fanned four and walked one.  Mandy Parkulo worked the final 1 1/3 innings to preserve the victory.

West Liberty starter Becky Fortuna was tagged with the loss, giving up three runs during as many innings pitched.  Shelby Wilson plated two of the three Topper scores with a sixth-inning hit.

Game #2: WV State 3, Concord 2

West Virginia State was down to their final out, but took advantage of a costly Concord error in a 3-2 victory.  Kelsey Lorraine took the pitching win for State, giving up one earned run and three hits.  She fanned six in the victory.

Charli Small and Margaret Osborne each notched two hits for State.  One of Osborne's hits was a second-inning homer that tied the game at 1-1.

Concord regained the lead at 2-1 in the sixth on Samantha Clement's screaming line-drive homer that richocheted off the left-center field scoreboard. 

Tamara Smith was the tough-luck losing pitcher for CU, giving up one earned run in 6 2/3 innings.

Game #3: Alderson-Broaddus 10, Ohio Valley 2

Alderson-Broaddus scored five runs each in the second and fifth innings to rout Ohio Valley 10-2.  Haley Mullen keyed the Battler attack with five RBI, including four on a second-inning grand slam.

Kat Powell and Emily Pritt also notched two hits each for the Battlers.  Lead-off hitter Kelly Lauterbach contributed two runs scored and as many RBI.  Mereaha Cooper scattered three hits in five innings for the pitching win.

Ohio Valley's Sarah Davidson was tagged with the loss.  She was responsible for five runs, three walks, and two hits in 1 2/3 innings of work.  Samantha Fordyce's two-run homer accounted for both OVU runs.

Game #4: Seton Hill 6, Wheeling Jesuit 1

Lyndsey Nusser handcuffed Wheeling Jesuit's attack with a two-hitter as Seton Hill advanced with a 6-1 victory.  The junior fanned eight and walked none as the Griffins built a 5-0 lead after three innings and coasted.

Lisa Kacyznski, Stefanie Wiegand, and Jenna Vavra propelled the Seton Hill offense with two hits each.  Kaczynski's third-inning double provided the game's lone extra-base hit.

Aleecia Sunagel and Jordan Burkhart had the only hits for Wheeling Jesuit.  Ashley Nichols gave up nine hits and three earned runs in suffering the defeat.

Game #5: Shepherd 4, Glenville State 1

Tricia Bettura fanned nine and scattered five hits as Shepherd handed Glenville State a 4-1 defeat.  The Rams posted single runs in the first, second, third, and sixth innings as they advanced.

Courtni Williams led SU with three hits in four at-bats, plus a run scored and a run batted in.  She also doubled twice for the Rams.  Nichole Pitcock and Amber Dudek both contributed a pair of hits to the SU attack.

GSC starting pitcher Mandy Parkulo was tagged with the defeat, giving up five hits and two runs in 1 2/3 innings of work.  Katelyn Porter had two of Glenville State's five hits.

Game #6: Charleston 4, WV State 3
Erica Bracey's 3-for-3 performance helped Charleston edge archrival West Virginia State 4-3.  The UC catcher also accounted for a solo home run as the Golden Eagles climbed out of a 2-0 hole.

Stefanie Rossman went the route to pick up the win for UC.  She scattered eight hits and fanned two.

State was led by Mallory Hilton's 3-for-4 effort.  Bobbi Harper and Poppy Ramey each added two hits for the Jackets.  Sara Pelegreen took the loss, giving up nine hits and two earned runs in six innings.

Game #7: Fairmont State 6, Alderson-Broaddus 2
A balanced attack and a strong pitching effort by Chelsea Cobb lifted Fairmont State past Alderson-Broaddus 6-2.  Seven different Falcons had hits, while Cobb scattered four hits and struck out six.

Abbey Wilson swung the hot bat for Fairmont State with a pair of doubles that plated three runs.  Danielle Dalton scored three runs on the day.  Kayla Gray added a pair of doubles for FSU.  Elizabeth Derrick's second inning homer provided the first Falcon run of the day.

Mereaha Cooper had two of the four A-B hits, including a run-scoring single in the sixth.  Kat Powell suffered the loss for A-B, allowing five hits and three earned runs in 1 2/3 innings.

Game #8: West Virginia Wesleyan 1, Seton Hill 0
Dana Goguen's fifth-inning single plated Amber Whisner with the game's lone run as top-seeded West Virginia Wesleyan fought off Seton Hill's upset bid. 

West Virginia Wesleyan's Patricia Moreno tossed the shutout to outduel Seton Hill's Louanne Wiegand in the tightly contested pitcher's duel.  Moreno allowed six hits and struck out nine.  Wiegand held the powerful Wesleyan attack to three hits, while walking three and striking out four.

SHU's Lisa Kaczynski and Kayla Badini led the team with two hits each.  Badini's fourth-inning double reprsented the game's only extra-base hit.

Whisner, Shelby Carlson, and Goguen, the top three hitters in the WVWC lineup, accounted for Wesleyan's three hits.  The bottom six hitters in the Bobcat order combined for an 0-for-14 showing.

Game #9: Ohio Valley 7, Glenville State 1
Samantha Fordyce's sixth inning grand slam broke open a close game as #12 seed Ohio Valley pulled off the upset.  Preet Dhillon added three hits and Raegan Turner gave OVU a strong pitching effort.  Tabitha Hill also chipped in a pair of hits for the Lady Scot cause.

Turner allowed eight hits, but only surrendered one run while striking out four.  Mandy Parkulo took the loss for GSC, giving up seven hits and six earned runs in 5 1/3 frames.

Brittney Handley and Erin Morgan managed two hits each for the Pioneers.  Leanne Harris drove in the only GSC run on a perfect squeeze bunt that plated Tia Via in the fifth.

Game #10: WV State 14, Wheeling Jesuit 4
Hot-hitting West Virginia State overcame an early 3-0 deficit to win 14-4 in five innings against Wheeling Jesuit.  The Jackets rolled up 14 hits, including three-hit days by Mallory Hilton and Kayla Sturms.

Sturms doubled and homered on her way to a five-RBI performance.  Margaret Osborne also homered for the Jackets.  Hilton, Sturms, Charli Small, and Brittany Hyatt scored three runs apiece combining for 12 of the 14 Jacket tallies from the top of the order.

Wheeling Jesuit got a home run to lead off the game from senior Ashley McSweeney as part of her 3-for-3 effort.  Angela Petros added a two-run single in the second to help WJU build their early lead.

Game #11: Alderson-Broaddus 4, West Liberty 2

Mereaha Cooper did it all for Alderson-Broaddus, hurling a five-hitter and blasting a three-run homer for the Battlers in a 4-2 win over West Liberty.

Cooper's third inning long ball snapped a 1-all tie.  The Battlers also received a solo homer from Kelly Lauterbach, while Lisa Boswell had two hits.

Kelsie Cannaday went 2-for-2 to lead West Liberty.  Becky Fortuna took the loss for WL, giving up four hits and four runs in 2 1/3 innings.  Amy Grubic pitched 3 2/3 scoreless frames for the Toppers.

Game #12: Seton Hill 5, Concord 2

Louanne Wiegand went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI as Seton Hill eliminated Concord 5-2.  Lisa Kaczynski and Kelsey Criner each added two hits apiece as the Griffins accounted for 10 base knocks.

Lyndsey Nusser picked up the mound win for Seton Hill, as she allowed five hits and two runs in four innings of work.  Caitlyn Kamalich worked a scoreless final three frames for the save.

Stephanie Harper was handed the pitching defeat for CU, giving up nine hits and five runs in four innings.  Alex Brown did not allow a run in two innings of relief.

Brooke Bowling homered for the Lady Lions and Samantha Clement notched a two-hit effort.
