Pat Trettel
Seton Hill's Pat Trettel is one of two WVIAC baseball stars to earn unanimous Division II first team All-American accolades.

(CARY, NC)---Seton Hill catcher Pat Trettel and Concord second baseman Greyson Schram are unanimous NCAA Division II first team All-Americans after the pair were selected to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) squads.

Concord shortstop Donovan Huffer nabbed third team honors on the coaches' selections, while Wheeling Jesuit pitcher Noah Mull was a third team pick by the writers.

West Virginia State reliever Evan Kendall and West Virginia Wesleyan third baseman Matt Coker secured honorable mention accolades from the NCBWA.

Trettel, a senior from Wexford, PA, led Seton Hill to a 36-21 record and the school's first WVIAC baseball title.  He established SHU single-season records with 16 homers and 81 runs batted in to go with a .420 batting average.  The 81 RBI are tied with Schram for the second-most in WVIAC history.  He also made Division II history by becoming only the fifth player to belt two grand slam homers in the same inning during a March rout of Pitt Johnstown.  Additionally, he swiped 11 bases in 13 attempts to become Seton Hill's initial first team Division II All-American.

Schram posted one of the dominant seasons in Division II history as he will rank in the top three nationally in six categories.  The Stanley, NC native will lead D-II in home runs per game (0.53), runs batted in per game (2.13), slugging percentage (1.103), and on-base percentage (.599).  The WVIAC and Atlantic Region Player of the Year's .508 batting average is the second best in league history and also ranks second in the country.  The Tino Martinez Award finalist (top Division II player) is only the fourth player in conference annals to blast 20 or more homers in a season after knocking 20 long balls during the Mountain Lions' 29-9 campaign.

Mull capped off a stellar senior season with a 7-1 record and a WVIAC-best 2.09 earned run average.  Mull limited opponents to a .194 batting average and ranks second in Division II with 13.02 strikeouts per nine innings.  The WVIAC Pitcher of the Year tossed four complete games with a pair of shutouts.  The former Wheeling Central HS star fanned 81 hitters compared to only 39 hits and 21 walks in 56.0 innings pitched.

Huffer paired with Schram for one of the top middle infield combinations in collegiate baseball.  The Churchville, Virginia senior shortstop capped off his final CU campaign with a .496 batting average, eight home runs, and 57 runs batted in.  The first team all-conference and all-region shortstop is second nationally in runs scored (1.66) and doubles (0.53) per game.  He also ranks third among Division II players in batting average.

Kendall was a key part of a West Virginia State squad that fashioned a 32-16 record en route to an NCAA regional appearance.  The Spencer, WV junior closer was 4-0 with a 2.91 earned run average and six saves.  He fanned 21 hitters and only walked three in 21 2/3 innings, while holding opponents to a .247 batting average.

Coker posted a big senior season that propelled West Virginia Wesleyan to a 29-12 record.  The Beckley, WV senior third baseman hit .451 and had a sterling on-base percentage of .525.  He ranks among the four toughest hitters to strike out in Division II, failing to put the ball in play only five times in 153 at-bats.
