NFCA Names McSweeney To Third Team A-A Squad

Ashley McSweeney bounced back from a should injury in 2009 to earn third team A-A honors in 2010.

(ST. JOSEPH, MO)---Wheeling Jesuit senior Ashley McSweeney has been honored as a 2010 Louisville Slugger/National Fast Pitch Coaches Association third team All-American at the utility position.

The New Martinsville, WV native was one of the most versatile players in Division II as she saw time at second base, shortstop, and center field.  The first team All-WVIAC and All-Atlantic Region honoree batted .363 for the Cards with five home runs and 19 runs batted in.  She also contributed 13 doubles and 22 runs scored as the former Magnolia HS star bounced back from a season-ending shoulder injury in 2009.
