On Saturday, Alderson-Broaddus, Charleston, Pitt-Johnstown, Seton Hill, Shepherd, and WV Wesleyan all garnered league victories.

Shepherd 83, Concord 61

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va.
– Shepherd hit 53 percent of its shots in the first half to race out to a 22-point halftime advantage en route to an 83-61 win over Concord.

Chad Moore amassed game-high honors with 20 points and 20 rebounds in the victory. He also dished out a game-best four assists. Sidney McCray accounted for 18 points while Brantley Osborne posted 14 and Marcus Pilgrim 10. The Rams drained 50.9 percent of their shots in the win.

Javaughn Acree-Manuel hit for 17 points in the loss for the Mountain Lions. Burnell Granderson totaled eight points and nine rebounds in 19 minutes of action. Jordan Davis also chipped in eight while Romel Kemp had seven.

WV Wesleyan 93, Ohio Valley 73

BUCKHANNON, W. Va.
– WV Wesleyan notched a 93-73 win over visiting Ohio Valley Saturday.

Raymont McElroy notched 48 points in the win for the Bobcats. He drained 16-of-27 from the floor including a six-of-10 effort from behind the three-point arc. McElroy also nailed 10-of-11 from the charity stripe. Kelsey Williams garnered a double-double with 19 points and 10 boards while Reggie Chambers tallied 16 points and 10 assists.

Austin Cunningham paced the Fighting Scots with 22 points. Kendall Allison had 20 points and six boards while Jordan Brooks added 14 points. Rodney Everage amassed 13 points, eight boards and eight blocks in the loss. The squad drained 48.3 percent of its shots from the floor.

Pitt-Johnstown 115, Bluefield State 84

JOHNSTOWN, Pa.
– Pitt-Johnstown hit 68.9 percent of its shots in the game en route to a 115-84 win over visiting Bluefield State.

Seven Mountain Cats scored in double figures in the win. Jordan Miller paced the team with 22 points while Nick Novak and Ian Vescovi each tallied 17. Novak also dished out six assists. Matt Palo scored 16 while Bill Luther had 12 points and seven boards. Kevin Byer and Patrick Grubbs each chipped in 10 points.

Alex Webb scored 22 points in the loss for the Big Blues. Vincent Rogers scored 20 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Devontae Royal notched 17 points while Chase Morgan added 14 points and six assists. Roy Cooper totaled eight points, six assists and four steals.

Charleston 87, Davis & Elkins 65

ELKINS, W. Va.
– By netting 57.1 percent of its shots in the second half, Charleston pulled away from a one-point halftime advantage en route to an 87-65 win at Davis & Elkins.

PJ Reyes poured in a team-high 21 points in the win for the Golden Eagles. Eladio Espinosa garnered 14 points and eight boards. Brandon Ross tallied 13 points while Hayden Annett chipped in 11. Marcus Knott accounted for eight points and six assists.

Malik Tinsley scored a game-high 22 points for the Senators. Jimmy Wiley had 14 points and D’Quan Lynch tallied 12 points. PJ Turner registered 10 assists, six points and four steals. Mile Ivanic totaled a team-high six boards.

Seton Hill 74, Glenville State 51

GREENSBURG, Pa.
– A hot-shooting Seton Hill squad posted a 74-51 win over visiting Glenville State Saturday afternoon.

Chris Giles guided the victors with 30 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Matt Miller was the only other Griffin to score in double figures, netting 12. He also pulled down six rebounds. Oliver Lewinson grabbed nine boards. SHU sank 26-of-42 from the field (61.9 percent) for the game.

The Pioneers were paced by Andy Dollman’s 10 points in the loss. Kevin Gray accounted for nine markers while Mark Walker came off the bench to total seven points and grab a team-high six rebounds. GSC buried 10-of-13 charity tosses in the contest.

Alderson-Broaddus 80, WV State 49

PHILIPPI, W. Va.
– A strong defensive effort in the second half allowed Alderson-Broaddus to post an 80-49 win over WV State.

Kurklin Bohanon registered a game-high 25 points in addition to posting game-high accolades in rebounds (seven) and blocks (four) for the Battlers. Nate Barnes garnered 22 points while Roy Brown added 11 to go along with his game-best six assists. The Battlers netted 15 three-point shots, burying 51.7 percent of their attempts from deep in the game.

In the loss, David Ford netted a team-high 10 points. Howard Douglas, III, tallied seven points as did Qua’Darius Fewell. Robbie Lewis chipped in six points but grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. The Yellow Jackets hit 14-of-17 attempts as a team from the charity stripe.
