RESPONSIBILITIES: The head women’s volleyball coach is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division II volleyball program to include, but not limited to: coaching (practice and in-game), match preparation, recruiting, fund-raising, scheduling, academic support and monitoring of student-athlete progress, hiring staff and the running of camps and clinics. The successful candidate must be fully committed to all NCAA, West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and University of Charleston Athletics Department policies and procedures, and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree is required. Proven record of current success in coaching volleyball at the college level. Proven record of successfully recruiting college level academically and athletically prepared student-athletes. Proven record of successfully managing the myriad of on-going responsibilities within a competitive college volleyball program, including effectively managing budget, travel, staffing, and parent communications. Proven record of adherence to all NCAA academic and compliance regulations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree and successful Head Coaching/Top Assistant Coaching experience at the NCAA Division I or Division II level.

Head Women’s Volleyball Coach/Assistant Softball Coach
Bluefield State College (BSC) has an opening for a Head Women’s Volleyball Coach/Assistant Softball Coach. This position is a full-time, exempt, non-classified, twelve-month position, reporting directly to the Director of Athletics. The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach/Assistant Softball Coach will plan, organize, direct and evaluate all phases of a competitive intercollegiate women’s volleyball program and assist with all phases of the softball program. The primary duties for this position include coaching; recruiting qualified student athletes; conducting and supervising regular practice sessions and contests; budget administration; assigning responsibilities to and supervising assistant coaches; mentoring and monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes; developing contest schedules; coordinating all team travel and facilitating camps and clinics. The coach is responsible for compliance of Title IX, NCAA, WVIAC, and Bluefield State College rules and regulations. He or she will be responsible for fundraising, developing and maintaining positive alumni and community relations. The coach may teach courses and/or assist with other sports programs at BSC as well as perform other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics based on qualifications and experience. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a strong preference given to applicants with a Master's degree. Candidates must have demonstrated coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level. Must have or be able to obtain the NCAA recruiting certification within 60 days of hire. First Aid and CPR certifications are desired. Valid driver’s license required. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven recruiting skills and must have a commitment to academic success and student-athlete well-being. Associate Head Athletic Trainer and Instructor in the Athletic Training Education Program
Description
The Athletic Department and Athletic Training Education Program at Concord University are seeking applications for an Associate Head Athletic Trainer and Instructor in the accredited Athletic Training Education Program. This is a ten-month position with 75% athletic and 25% academic responsibilities. Athletic responsibilities include, but are not limited to: complete care coordination for Football, Men’s Basketball, Track and Field, and Tennis; coverage of all home and away events for the football team, all home and some away events for the men’s basketball team, all home events for track and field, and will be present on campus for home tennis events (unless traveling with football); heavy administrative responsibilities in the area of athlete care and the daily operation and coverage of the athletic training room, and any other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer or Director of Athletics. Academic responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching undergraduate courses within the accredited Athletic Training Education Program and the department of Human Performance; academic advising; service as an Approved Clinical Instructor (ACI) which will include supervision of assigned athletic training students; instruction, evaluation, and assessment of athletic training educational competencies and clinical proficiencies, and any other duties as assigned by the Athletic Training Education Program Director. Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science or related field
• First Aid & CPR Instructor certification
• Significant (4-5 years) experience with intercollegiate football preferred
• Significant experience with athletic training administrative responsibilities preferred
• Previous teaching experience in a CAATE-accredited ATEP preferred
• Previous experience as an Approved Clinical Instructor
• Candidate is expected to obtain West Virginia license as a certified Athletic Trainer

The ability to organize and motivate student-athletes to maximum performance level in sports and academic achievements. Experience in recruiting highly motivated and qualified student-athletes. Compliant with all NCAA, conference and university rules and policies.
